The conference is organized by the Institute of Management at the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland, School of Business, in association with the University of Basel, Program Sustainability Research.

With an offering consisting of some 140 academic programmes and related activities (EMBA, Master of Advanced Studies, courses seminars and workshops), the School of Business of the University of Applied Sciences Northwestern Switzerland is Switzerland’s leading provider of continuing education in business management. It tutors in the region of 1500 students in the Bachelor degree programme, undertakes applied research and development and is an active player in the field of consultancy.
Founded in 1460, the University of Basel is the oldest university of the Swiss Confederation. It combines an academic tradition going back 500 years with a spirit which is resolutely open to change. The present day university is a modern establishment, linked to an international research network and proposing an attractive palette of programmes and a wide and varied range of services. With its seven faculties the University of Basel is an all-round university. Its human proportions make the University of Basel particularly attractive for teachers and students. With about 8 700 students
and its exceptional range of teaching programmes, it has retained an individual and personal dimension.
